A Dining “Experience”

November 2, 2008 | by neknows

Have you been to a Melting Pot?  Fun, Fondue and lots of conversation!  My first experience was wonderful.  We went with another couple and shared 2 couple meals.  But, let me back up.  When we first got there we started in the bar while our table was being prepared.  Chocolate Covered Cherry Martini, to die for!  We were seated at our table, interesting as each table had “hot plates” in them to warm what’s to come.  So, back to the 2 couple meals.  We got to select 2 cheese fondues for appetisers, 2 cooking fondues for the main course and 2 dessert fondues to finish us off.  Each course was brought out with an assortment of items to dip or cook in the fondue.  Carefully cut in bite sized pieces and we each had 2 skewers in different colors so you didn’t loose track of what you are preparing.  It’s a dinner to be savored, along with the conversation.  And you actually get the time to do enjoy both.  This is not a meal you want to squeeze in before a movie, it’s the dinner and entertainment all wrapped up in one.  Now, don’t ask the guys because they said it was the most money they ever paid for meal that they had to cook themselves. But if you’re looking for a fabulous tasting meal that you can relax and visit over, it’s the perfect place.  Tip:  before you leave ask to buy a jar of the Melting Pot Seasoning to take home.  It’s great on veggies, meats, whatever you’re cooking up!   Omaha, is lucky to have one!
